I finally got around to downloading the raw image data from a webcam that I installed in the backyard. My original plan was that I could assemble them into a time-lapse video all the way through the snowstorm. As it turned out, we lost power for two days and – for two more days – our internet connection. Therefore, the video ended up being more of a before-and-after documentation of the storm. It’s still quite impressive. For example, compare the amount of leaves (and branches) before and after the storm. It is also quite visible how much the snow was weighing down those branches.
