My family just spent an amazing day at the 2012 World Maker Faire in New York. It was a blast! Between the life-sized mousetrap and the kids coloring a Zipcar, there was so much to see and do. What amazed me most was the fact that almost every single booth had at least one 3D printer or a CNC router. The kids plundered every 3D printing booth they could find and everyone went home with an amazing array of impressions and a full bag of goodies.
It was also nice to catch up with some Trimble SketchUp folks at their booth. They actually managed to get their hands on a full-size CAT digger and rightfully claimed it to also be a 3D printer. Can’t argue with that.
