A weekend trip to Boston gave us a chance to finally visit the USS Constitution. Unfortunately the ship wasn’t open, but we still were able to walk around it and visit the museum. I like the perspective in the image above because their storage of old timbers in the shipyard nicely shows what this amazing historic vessel is made of.
I’ll post more on the USS Constitution’s use of Live Oak soon. Last fall I tested some Live Oak for a TV special on this ship that should come out soon, too.
