I just released new versions of my Scale By Tools and Random Tools SketchUp extensions. As always, you can simply install the new version from within SketchUp via the Extension Warehouse or the SketchUcation PluginStore. You can also download the installer files from this website at the links shown below.
Scale By Tools Extension 1.2
I fixed a bug in the Scale By Tools extension that occurred whenever an object’s scale reached zero. While this used to be possible, recent Ruby updates in SketchUp raised an error, which then led to the scaling operation’s failure.
In addition, I added a new feature where an image that is used for scaling can be automatically inverted. While this was already possible by inverting images in a photo editor, this now removes that step and lets the user choose to invert the scaling direction simply by checking this option. You can see the result in the image at the top of this post.
